Amazon, which would be called The Everything Store, was also called relentless.com in the beginning.

They followed the strategy of "get big fast" and "focus on the customer", which cured a lot of ills for Amazon.com-

Rather than focus on short term efficiency (which would in turn lead to short term profits), Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos had decided that they should get big first. Then when Amazon got to a big enough scale, they were able to start focusing not only on growth and expansion, but also on small, seemingly minor efficiencies, which add up to huge numbers, especially when you have a business the size of Amazon.
